Media & Photography Policy
Green Space Festival is first and foremost a community-driven fundraiser in support of The 519 and its essential programs for the 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
To preserve the spirit, safety, and integrity of the event, media accreditations and professional photography are not permitted on site. No media accreditation is issued for this event.
Our festival takes place in a fully public space, where thousands of attendees gather to celebrate freely, authentically, and without barriers. Limiting professional media presence allows us to:
- Protect the privacy and comfort of our attendees, many of whom may not wish to be photographed, interviewed, or filmed in a public-facing context
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, especially for vulnerable members of our communities
- Ensure a consistent visual identity, with all official content captured by our designated festival team
- Keep the focus on the experience, rather than turning the event into a media-driven space
Artists & Interviews
Green Space Festival operates on a very tight production schedule, with multiple performances, technical transitions, and live programming happening in rapid succession.
For this reason, interviews with performers are not available on site unless they have been arranged in advance and approved by both Production and the artists’ management.
- Requests for artist interviews—particularly from national broadcasters—must be submitted well in advance so they can be reviewed and coordinated accordingly
- Last-minute or on-site interview requests will not be accommodated
- Photography or filming of performers during their shows is not permitted
We understand the importance of media coverage and are happy to support storytelling whenever possible. Official photos and approved content of performers will be made available after the event on www.greenspaceto.org and may be provided in high resolution upon request.
We thank you for your understanding and for helping us create a safe and welcoming space where everyone can show up, celebrate, and belong—on their own terms.
