Since its inception in 2008, The Green Space Festival has become a thriving, internationally recognized cultural festival in Toronto. Comprised of a series of signature events – including Starry Night, One World, Lipstick Jungle, Disco Disco and TreeHouse Party – the Green Space Festival offers high caliber productions that feature national and international artists providing amazing outdoor shows in gorgeous tree-lined venues packed over four days.
With over 150,000 visitors, 3000 volunteers, 600 performers and over 275 hours of high quality entertainment in its first eight years, this annual event has not only significantly contributed to Toronto Pride’s world class reputation but has also transformed The 519, Canada’s largest LGBTQ Centre. Since 2008, The 519 has been able to invest over $1,500,000 into year-round programs and services for our LGBTQ communities as a direct result of our fundraising efforts through the Green Space Festival.
Past international acts include incredible DJ Producers such as Dimitri from Paris, the legendary Frankie Knuckles (R.I.P.), Abel Aguilera, Ralphi Rosario, David Morales, Colette and DJ Heather, Kerri Chandler, Horse Meat Disco, Francesca Lombardo, Kim Ann Foxman and a whole host of infamous RuPaul’s Drag Race finalists such as Jinx Monsoon, Bianca Del Rio, Courtney Act, Trixie Mattel, and Adore Delano, among others.
Through Green Space Festival, The 519 is proud to be the place where community members and allies come together to “party for a cause”.
